We (the girls and I) had just gotten back into town this afternoon and were driving down the main street when I saw a sign for a farm stand. So, I thought, "What the heck, that sounds fun," and took the turn. It was neat. A beautiful farm with a self-serve stand. They had several different types of produce to choose from, but nothing that sounded inspiring at the moment. They did have a large u-pick flower garden. Now THAT sounded like fun. So, I put Britt on my back, in the ergo and pulled Ash out of her car seat and we got down to the serious (or not) business of choosing blooms. It was sooooooo much fun! Ash just loved it. I'm pretty sure Britt did too, judging from all the happy shrieks. I wish I'd had my camera. I wish I'd taken a pic of Ash and Britt with our bouquet once we got home. I did neither. The girls are both in bed now, so all I can offer is the pic, I just took, of our autumn colored flowers that have been very loved by an enthusiastic not-quite-2-year-old. :) Ash kept pointing at them and saying, "pee-e." That's a two syllable word, by the way. Haha!
I've made my peace with our pathetically short summer and am now thoroughly enjoying all the sunny, warmish, yet crisp days of Fall! Yay!!!

Sounds like so much fun and they are pretty too. :)
That seems like such a fun little activity! I've never seen a "pick your own flowers" stand before :)
