Today I Made Scones.

Let me back up a bit.  For breakfast, this morning, I made oatmeal for the girls and myself.  Homemade oatmeal with raisins, and rice drink and xylitol added after cooking.  We all REALLY like oatmeal.  And it totally hit the spot.  After all the rich and flamboyant things we've been eating for the holidays, it was nice to ingest something simple and wholesome. 


Well, I made too much and I don't care for waste so I got online and looked up recipes for leftover oatmeal.  This recipe here is what I found and tried and we are all very pleased with the results.  Leftover Oatmeal Scones for breakfast tomorrow!  Just kidding.  There aren't any left.  :)  Next time I make these, I'm putting pumpkin butter on them.  YUM!


P.S.  I substituted Earth Balance spread for the butter in the recipe and rice drink instead of milk.  :)

wow that oatmeal looks yummy. i reallly like oatmeal too. so much i have it everyday. i may have to try those scones too...some day :)

oh my gosh, you have me craving oatmeal now..except I'm wondering if I should go straight to the scones...What to do, oh what to do!!
