Today I Was a Day Late and a Dollar Short.

I finally hung up the results of a painting activity the girls did almost a month ago.  **sigh**

Ash Painting

I had cut out pumpkin shapes from cereal boxes and the girls painted them orange.

Britt Painting

They also painted clothespins green.

Painting Paper Pumpkins

Some of the cereal boxes had print on the inside and our washable paint didn't cover that.

My plan was to decoupage cute, orange scrapbook paper over that print.

I finally decided to just hang up the non-print pumpkins already and throw away the handful of printed ones.

Painting Clothespins
Should have done that a month ago.

Pumpkins can still work for November decor, right?
P.S.  While I was in the middle of writing this post, some movement on the wall across from me caught my eye.  I looked over to see a three inch long frog climbing the wall.  What the heck?  How does a frog just waltz into the house?  It's cold and wet outside.  I haven't had the door open any longer than it takes to get in and out.  **so confused**  When I first tried catching it it ran under the entertainment center.  When I was finishing up this post, the little stinker tried to sneak right past me.  But it's hard to be stealthy when your only way to move is by hopping.  The frog is now safely back outside.  Hopefully for good.

I bet the girls had a lot of fun doing the pumpkins. You do know they are creating memories with Mom. Those are such a great idea, I would never thought to use cereal boxes.

When my Daughter was younger, we did a lot of little crafts. Now, we get together a couple times a year for a girls craft night. She invites her friends and sometimes, we make it a girls craft weekend.

When you said you seen a frog, I thought you were going to say you seen a spider. We get those off and on throughout the year. I don't know which is worse, frogs or spiders. they both give me the willies.

Shudder. How random! We had a lizard in our house once. Not fun. Much less cute than frogs are.

I thought I saw a spider on the ceiling a couple nights ago. Turns out it was my over-active, very sleepy brain. I think Bret thought I was sleep walking.

Pumpkins totally work for November!

As far as the frog goes, I love them. Mica's nursery was decorated in them before I knew what I was having. My mom said, "What if you're having a girl?" I said, "I'm making HUGE flower and a white picket fence to go along the wall with the frogs then." She seemed ok with that.

What a super cute idea! I think pumpkins still work as Thanksgiving decorations. I still have all of my pumpkins all over the house. =]

Must be a frog prince looking for a princess to kiss it!

You can definately use pumpkins in November. Cute babies. I remember we had a frog outside and my mom was in her car and called me inside the house to tell me not to open the garage door cause she was scared of the frog. Jason went and picked the frog up and put it next to my mom's car while my mom & grandma were screaming.
