Today I Was Re-thinking Blogging.

This is not a post about why I'm not going to be blogging anymore.

This is a post about balance.  My life-long quest for balance.  This is something I've been thinking about for quite a long time, actually, and shoving out of my head as fast as the thought would enter.

Well, I'm not fighting the thought anymore.  Though my computer time is done, for the most part, during my free time, I still feel a lack of balance.  I love blogging.  Unless I can't think of anything to talk about.  Then it feels more like a chore.  But there are a lot of other activities I love too.

The problem is, I am usually on the computer for ALL of my free time.  Not so cool.  I have been crafting more, lately.  And loving it.  I need to do more things like that and less of the sitting in front of my lap top during my free time.  And the same goes for my husband.  We both need to unplug and do a couple more mutual activities.

So, here is what all this means for my blog.  I will be setting myself a daily computer time limit.  When this limit is up, it's gone.  No more computer for the day.  If that means I haven't finished writing my daily post, oh well!  So - though my goal is still one post every weekday, I may not be able to finish a post in time, which would mean finishing up the next day.  So, I may only get a few posts up in a week.  And I'm ok with that.  Hope you are too.  We'll see how it goes.

I need to set myself a time limit too. I should be asleep now it's 1 am, but no I'm up on the computer. I'll be paying for it in the morning when the kids wake up. UUUGGHHH!

Sounds completely reasonable to me. I'll be checking in on you in a day or two. :)

Completely get where you are coming from. Take some time and enjoy that precious new baby. x

I'm okay with that, as long as you're not going away forever. That would make me sad.
Hugs!

Really.... I need to do the same thing. It gets where I let the housework go so I can be on the computer. Not Cool!

I think that's totally reasonable and it's always good to be spending more time looking at life than a computer monitor!

You're a strong woman! It's hard breaking up with the computer and I agree, it really consumes the time.

Good luck and hats off to ya girl!

I actually TRY to write 3 posts a week and I try to write them over the weekend when I have more time. Then I try to visit blogs each day. I have all my "favorites" bookmarked. It's my goal to get them 2 or 3 times a week. I'm good to watch Idol and blog. I'm good to cook dinner and blog...so usually I can meet my goals.

Sometime less is more.

Maybe you'll just learn to type faster. HA HA
