It's one of the first recipes I've tried from one of my Every Day with Rachael Ray magazines. I have no idea where this magazine came from. It just showed up one day and someone renewed my subscription. If my sweet secret magazine buyer is a reader, thank you! I read all of them. But, sadly, this is the first recipe I've used. I haven't been trying out new recipes lately (just lost interest for a little while, I guess). And I wish I'd chosen something else. It was a steak and egg salad. The dressing was weak, the eggs were gross and the steak overdone (that was my bad). **shrug** I'll just have to do a dessert next time. **big grin**
I do sometimes miss Rachael Ray. Back during Ash's first year, I used to watch Rachael Ray's cooking shows all the time. She was always making everything look so fun and easy. I can't watch her shows anymore since we don't get reception, let alone free cable! Oh well, TV is a waste of time anyways.
How about you? Where do you get your recipes? I use allrecipes.com a lot. I have gotten a TON of fabulous recipes off of that site. I also clip recipes from magazines, but the papers tend to pile up and then I just throw them all out. I almost never use my cookbooks.

That's too bad. I use a lot of Rachael Ray recipes, so don't give up on her!
I get my recipes from all over. Family, magazines, but one I really like to use is from www.thesisterscafe.com site
It's a blog and easy to follow!
Bon appetit!
My favorite recipe book is "Double Delicious" by Jessica Seinfeld. Everything I have made out of it has been really good! And she sneaks in veggies into every meal.
I watch Rachel Ray a lot! I like her cooking style! I have a few cookbooks that I browse through when I am feeling like something new!
I have too many cookbooks. I'm addicted too them.
I love hunting for
recipes on the tasty kitchen.

I kinda like her recipes because they're normal. I also like Taste of Home magazine for recipes but those are usually not that healthy. However they taste darn good!
Blogs are a good source for recipes too!
I use the classic red and white checkered cook book all the time.
I also get some recipes from some bloggers.
My "darling" cookbook, for right now, is Baking: From My Home to Yours, by Dorie Greenspan. Everything turns out great, but it's all deserts.
For dinners, I'm SO proud. And stubborn. I hardly ever follow recipes. I read blogs for inspiration, and then throw together whatever I've got in the fridge. (But when I use recipes, dinner ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS comes out better. heh.)
Jamie,
My recipes come from everywhere. What really draws me are the pictures. I'll even make something w/an ingredient I don't particularly care for because the picture is so pretty. I also made a Rachael Ray recipe that I thought was blah and I was shocked. I can't remember what it was, but I won't be making that again. My oldest and I use to watch her regularly (back in the day when she first started) and he became a fan. I took him to one of her book signings and after all his talk and excitement of meeting her, he ran away from her when she wanted to take a picture w/him. He was young, so what can I say?
I have a vegetarian cook book that I am slowly working my way through and have quite a few favorites from that book.
