Today I Want Your Opinion on Something.

Not that I don't welcome your opinion any other day or on other topics......

Anyway.  This question is just because I've been planning Ash's November birthday party for almost a month now (it's a good thing too because it's not coming together very quickly!) and I'm curious to know what y'all think.

Would these to snacks go well together in a bowl or not?

(think dr. suess' one fish, two fish, ok?)

I kinda feel stupid asking since my own initial reaction is, "um...yuck?" BUT the whole sweet n salty thing is going on here!

Nevermind that it more of a sweet n salty n cheesy sort of thing.

And then I was thinking sweet and cheese together????  Ew!

But there is cheesecake.  And cheesecake is super good.

Especially fruity cheesecake.

.....................................

Swedish fish are fruity.

P.S. I asked Hubby if he'd eat these two together and he said, "Yes."
I said, "Don't you think that'd be weird?"
He said, "No. They're both fish."

Well, that makes perfect sense.

I say no. Two seperate bowls by each other... but both are yummy. Chocolate fish or something like that in the same bowl as the goldfish... I would actually say yes.

I think I'd put them in separate dishes. You can always get the colored fish crackers, so you'd have two bowls of colored fish... I don't know.

I definitely wouldn't eat them together.

I don't think I'd put the two together.

While I love both goldfish and swedish fish, I probably would not be a big fan of them swimming together, so to speak.

But what a cool theme for a party!!

I would keep them apart if it was me, because I don't like sweets and salty snacks together. Hope this helps :).

Well, its a party for toddlers. Does it matter? As long as they will eat them separately, having them together makes them even better! :)

If people don't like it, say "good. more for me." Unless that's a bad thing. :)
I personally LOVE sweet n salty together. If there was a bowl of gummies and goldfish together, I'd still eat em. But yeah, I'll be honest. It is a little bit weird.
Do you have to put them in the same bowl? Or would two work? Either way is fine.

I would put them in the same bowl together, I'm not sure about actually eating them together in the same bite though.

Jamie,

You have several instances that support the combination: you're pregnant and the children will love the combination. For them, I think you should mix the two, but for adults maybe have bowls where they are separated. I wouldn't eat them together, but instead have one, eat it and then have the other. Combined, that's too much commotion for me.

As far as fish are concerned they go just fine, but I'm afraid the gummy fish will make the crunchy fish soggy, or the fish crackers will stick to the gummy fish and it will be a mess to eat...

I don't know but I'm sure it will be tasty either way. Try a few in a bowl and see what happens.

They will look good together in a bowl and they could still be eaten separately though they are in the same bowl. :)

hmmm, i say no. can you put them in separate bowls on the same table? but then i think kids wouldn't mind at all ... they are both delicious snacks! but for me the cheese and the sweet = yuck.

separate for me. but on the same looking bowls ... but then, i don't think it will matter since i am quite sure they will be eaten anyway.

"there both fish" LMAO.

I wouldn't mix them. or use one of the sharing types bowls used for chips and dips.
