Today I Started Working on My Advent Calendar Again.

Did you read this post from last year?  Haha.  I've been working on this Pottery Barn Kids style Christmas Calendar for 3 years now.  I'm not so good at big, time-consuming projects, I guess.  But this year I swear I am even MORE determined!  Hahaha.  Somebody, please, hold me accountable.

I should have just done something like this:

I think I will still do the Christmas Book Countdown.  It's just too cool.

Do you have a way to keep track of how many days until Christmas?

Guess what?

Christmas is only 60 days away!

I told that to my mom and she said, "How would you like to die?"  Hahahaha!  Christmas is almost never a peaceful event when you have 20+ kids to shop for (including grand kids), I'm assuming.

I usually get an chocolate advent calendar at World Market (well when it was here! Both of their stores closed their doors here!) Maybe Whole foods or Pier One will have one.

Ya shopping for 20 + kids and grand kids sounds CRAZY!!!

The advent calendars are not yet on sale at the stores here. But home-made advent calendars are the best! At least I'm sure the ones made by you are. :)

60 days away, man when you put it like that it's closer than I thought!
Good thing I have my Christmas shopping done!!!

Don't hate me!

Love the Christmas book countdown!

Seriously... just reading this started making me anxious. Goo. I had a couple ideas for more advent calendars I thought I would try, but yours looks super cute. Cant wait to see the final pictures. (You better be posting them. :) )I will try to get a picture of mine up sometime. I actually saw a Halloween one somewhere, thought about making one of those too.

Haha, 60 days. That's good. Yesterday, I actually reminisced a little bit about Christmas. Its funny cuz I used to roll my eyes at the over-materialized holiday and was so sick of radio Christmas music by the time December hit. But now that I have kids and have grown grateful for all of our family traditions- and the many many days centered on Christ- I can't wait for the holiday as well!

Jamie,

I will hold you accountable if you'll do the same for me. I am determined to complete one this year. I will be making mine and do need to start now to be sure I actually follow through this time.
