Today I Wanted to Sit Down and Read a Good Book.

But I didn't.

Too busy.  The siblings came home yesterday (thank you for all your prayers!!!) and another long lost friend was in town.

I do have some books on a list, thanks to my friend Rachel's book review post, but I'm open for more suggestions.  It's time to go on a reading spree!

So give 'em to me - the titles that come to mind first (only the good ones please).

And I'm not into sex, foul language or crude humor.

Thanks!!!!

What do you like to read?

If you haven't read it, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones is a really fun read! It goes pretty fast, too.

Oh I am so like you. Can't stand it when people put all that garbage into their books. I refuse to put it in any of mine. I have this little philosophy that I always live by: "the more skilled linguist is one who can express a powerful emotion without the use of profanity." And... may I add... without the use of sexual content.

I just finished reading "River Secrets" from the Goose Girl series by Shannon Hale. ANY book you get of hers is FANTASTIC!!! Goose Girl is my favorite, along with Austenland. The Actor and the Housewife is also very good (read it with a box of tissues).

Can I throw in a shout out for Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine too? That is one of my favorites and where I got my daughter's name from. :)

Ooh, and "Beauty" by Robin McKinley. LOVE it. Beautifully written.

I mostly read non-fiction. I think Disposable People by Kevin Bales is really good.

Od Magic, Riddlemaster series, Ann of Green Gables, Mortal Instrument series, Infernal Devices series (slightly cleaner than Mortal Instrument, though both are quite tame). ??

These Is My Words is one of the best books I've read in a long time.

Have you read the Hunger Games Series? The Uglies series? The Lightening Thief Series? Fablehaven Series? And than I will second many of the books people have already commented.

Yay for more sibling safe and sound.
I'm not a book person ... no recommendation from me! Sorry, but I watch a lot of movie, I can give you recommendations!
